ISA 2006 Word Filter

Have been looking today at word filters in ISA 2006, and stumbled across this post below. I was looking for a way of ensuring that any web page containing the address of a well known games site, used for general timewasting in the college.

Anyway, found this post, implemented the filters as it described, and the dreaded games site is no more.

Further information, more in depth and details on all of the configuration options can also be found on Microsoft Technet at the following address:

  1. Do you have access to the protex box to pull off the logs? If you can you could use Sawmill to create the reports. Still more £, I guess you can slip ISA onto the MS licensing, not sure how you can slip SmoothWall on it ;)

  2. I need to look into what they are offering. ISA is doing a great job though, and the log files are so easy to get off and read/use.

Protex is causing problems with YouTube at the moment though. Got to try and work out what is going wrong. Seems to be filtering flash player some of the time but not all, which is causing a few headaches.
